AJOVER is founded in Bogotá, Colombia, manufacturing a diverse range of products, from plastic hoses and tiles to fiberglass tanks.

The company expands its production capacity and becomes synonymous with plastic roofing. In the same year, Ajover begins manufacturing foam trays.

Dexton polystyrene petrochemical plant opens in Cartagena, Colombia.

Dexton builds its own dock for the delivery of monomer  bulk quantities.

The Darnel brand is launched focusing on the production of food packaging products. The Ajover brand continues to be used for construction products.

Ajover opens its first international operation in Caracas, Venezuela.

In an area of more than 20 hectares, the company launches operations in Madrid, Colombia. This site becomes the main plant and logistics center for the interior and center of Colombia. Ajover stops using CFCs twenty years earlier than required by the Montreal Protocol.

Ajover opens a new manufacturing plant, Cascabel, for the production of thermo-acoustic roofing in Cartagena, Colombia.

Ajover acquires factories in Spain, Israel and Turkey. In the same year, it opens distribution centers in various places in Europe.

Darnel Inc. is established in Charlotte, North Carolina, manufacturing foam packaging and distributing products made in Colombia.

Ajover launches Dexton Zona Franca, in Cartagena, Colombia where it establishes several production plants. 

Ajover’s business complex in Cartagena is one of the most important plastic production centers in the country.

Darnel begins to use post-consumer PET in its production of food packaging, positioning itself as a pioneer in sustainability.

Darnel acquires operations in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay from the English multinational Linpac. This establishes Darnel as one of the leading food packaging companies in Latin America.

Distribution centers are opened in Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Paraguay to better service our customers.

Distribution center opens in Paraguay.
